My name is Dr. Timothy and I have a Ph.D. in Research and Evaluation Psychology from Walden University, and a Master of Counselling degree from City University in Seattle. I have over 35 years of counselling, inpatient and outpatient program development/evaluation and teaching experience. I have experience working with adults, the chronic behavioral health population, adolescents, couples, and families. I have extensive experience in crisis services and the civil court in Washington State. I have worked implementing Federal SAMSHA grants as the clinical director. I have also worked with counties, juvenile courts, and municipalities to enhance behavioral health services within their communities. These varied experience provides me with expertise and knowledge to help associate clinicians develop their own skill set.
I am a certified Trauma-Informed therapist, and the main focus of my therapeutic expertise is on treating trauma and the associated symptoms of trauma, such as anxiety, depression, psychosis, low self-esteem, and addiction. I am also trained in neuro-psychology therapy. The treatment modalities that I practice are Brief Solution-Focused Therapy (SFBT), CBT, and EMDR.
I believe with my education and experience, I offer a safe, non-judgmental environment where I can take practical steps toward supervising clinician in a variety of areas as they work toward their licensure. My aim is to help practicing associates grow in their profession so that they can enhance their clients’ opportunity to enjoy improved overall mental health and well-being. I was very fortunate to have excellent mentors as a young clinician, and I feel a responsibility to pass on the positive experience I had with my mentors to the next generation of behavioural health healers.
